Zinger - So Ji Sub (gotta admire her dedication to her man! KYAHH)
Hyosung chose Logan Lerman.
Why? (from what I can gather with my limited Korean ability >.< loll)
~ She chose Logan because if she were to date him, SECRET would have more publicity, internationally, since he’s a famous actor. Also, the girls probably saw his interview with Jun Hyun Mu, where he learned about “Shy Boy”. I thought it was really cute how she picked him ^^

No, anon, you’re not the only one who’s noticed.
I’m a huge Secret stan, but I’ve noticed how much thinner all of their voices have gotten. Their voices were especially thin in Shy Boy and Starlight Moonlight but ever since Madonna’s promotions ended, all of their voices have gotten like that. While I do agree that there is certainly the factor of the cutesy style being what got them popular, I think there’s also the factor that these girls have been working their voices almost non-stop. Also, just that the songs that they have been given have been in higher keys, but not high enough that they are in keys where the girls go into headvoice. So these songs seem to be placed as close to that transition point as possible.
I will say that Love Is Move is actually a little bit better in that Jieun’s adlibs at the end are lower and in more of a range where her voice is stronger.
Personally, I prefer hearing their voices in their stronger range, but this is the entertainment business and the girls and their management know that they do have to cater to the audience. While I think that Secret is one of the groups that tend to care more about the music than about popularity, they are by no means dumb about the reality of the business aspect to the industry. And I suppose this is one of the concessions that have to be made.
I hope that someday soon they will be in a position where they can demonstrate their strong voices again!
